A's Christian Martell was named the CFB Player of the Month today for the month of March 2009. Martell led the A's to a 6-3 record, with a batting average of .576, 19 hits, scoring 16 runs, driving in 20 to go along with a league leading 6 homeruns, and slugging a gaudy 1.152. Martell is the reigning 2008 Co-MVP along with Jay Brunette. Martell hit a Grand Slam vs Knights in the 2nd Game of the Season. He is the current League Leader in almost every offensive category. He leads in HR, RBI's, Runs, Hits, and Total Bases. Christian is on pace to shatter several league records. Martell also in on pace to be the 2nd ever Triple Crown winner (Gene Manning 2005).
